Lab Policy (draft)
(This is the current policy for both the Phonetics Lab and the Kuang Lab.)
Lab appointment (regular)
To access the facilities of the labs, application should be made by email with Professor Kuang <kuangj@sas.upenn.edu>. The application should contain the date/time and a brief proposal for the experiments. In some cases, an RA will be required to be present during the time period of the appointment. (The RAs cannot accept appointments.)
Lab appointment (expedited)
For linguistics students who want to access the Phonetics Lab (WILL-623), please make appointment by adding (or asking the RA to add) to the lab calendar. Refer to the Schedule page for details.
Lab log
The RA is responsible for keeping track of lab use, so once the appointment has been approved, please inform the RA about the date and time, and also the specific device that will be used.
Hardware set-up
The lab user should use the lab setting as is, without changing the hardware configuration (including cable connection and hardware switches). Hardware adjustment (including temporary addition of external devices) can be carried out, only with approval from Professor Kuang.
